Wow

A message for my first responder family, law enforcement, and the general public

I recently received Zach’s book to read, and I believe this is a story that needs to reach far beyond the public safety community.

This book speaks to something so many of us understand: grief, mental health struggles, trauma, loss, and the difficult journey of turning pain into purpose.

For my law enforcement officers and first responders, I hope you will take the time to read it. We ask so much of the people who run toward emergencies and carry the weight of what they witness. But these struggles do not belong only to those who wear a uniform.

They belong to all of us.

Grief does not discriminate. Mental health struggles do not discriminate. Sometimes the people who appear the strongest are carrying battles that nobody else can see.

What makes stories like Zach’s so important is that they remind us that our pain does not have to be the end of our story. We can take what we have survived, learn from it, speak about it, and turn that pain into purpose.

I know firsthand how powerful it can be when someone finally says, “You are not alone. I understand.”

That is why I am encouraging everyone to read Zach’s book when it is released.

Read it if you are a first responder.

Read it if you are in law enforcement.

Read it if you have experienced grief or loss.

Read it if you have struggled with your mental health.

Read it if you love someone who has.

And when the book is complete, please consider purchasing a copy and supporting Zach’s mission.

We need more people willing to talk about the things we are often taught to hide. We need more stories that create understanding instead of judgment. And we need more people willing to turn their pain into something that can help someone else keep going.

Our pain can become purpose.
Our stories can become connection.
And sometimes, sharing what we have survived can help someone else realize they are not alone.

Thank you, Zach, for being willing to share your story.

I hope this book reaches the people who need it most.

Keep talking. Keep listening. Keep showing up. And most importantly, keep choosing to turn pain into purpose.

Zach Tindall
